Meet the Spokane veterinarians at Glenrose

Glenrose opened in 2011 in a converted dental office on the South Hill, with one doctor and one technician. Today there are three veterinarians, four veterinary technicians and three people at the front desk. We see dogs and cats only.

Karen started the practice because she thought the visits she was used to were too short. The rule she built it on still holds: no doctor booked so tight that there is no room for the owner's last question.

Dr. Karen Lindqvist, DVM

Owner and veterinarian, at Glenrose since 2011

Karen opened Glenrose in 2011 in a converted dental office on the South Hill, with one technician. She trained at the Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine and worked a few years for someone else first, long enough to decide the visits were too short.

She still sees patients most days, and she is the one who will tell you plainly what she would do if it were her own dog or cat. Off hours she walks a gray-muzzled shepherd mix on the bluff trails.

Dr. Owen Marsh, DVM

Veterinarian, at Glenrose since 2016

Owen joined Glenrose in 2016 and has a special interest in surgery and dentistry. He does most of the practice's spays, neuters, soft-tissue surgery and dental work.

He is known for calling owners himself the evening after a procedure. When a case needs a board-certified specialist, he says so and the practice refers it.

Taking new patients

Dr. Hannah Whitcomb, DVM

Veterinarian, at Glenrose since 2021

Hannah joined Glenrose in 2021 after graduating from Oregon State University's Carlson College of Veterinary Medicine. She has a special interest in new puppies and kittens, preventive care, and cats who hate the vet.

She is taking new patients. If you are new to Glenrose, she is the doctor Karen would want you to see first.

Portraits are coming from the team photo day. Until then, each doctor's initials stand in. None of the photos on this site shows a member of the team.

Behind the three doctors

4

veterinary technicians

They run the lab work and hold the nervous cats, the job one technician did alone in 2011.

3

people at the front desk

They answer the phone, call back on appointment requests, and give you a name across town if we do not see your kind of animal.
